What should I do if my doctor has prescribed sperm enrichment?

• Contact the laboratory to arrange an appointment and find out about the practicalities of providing a sample (Tel: 488 288 360).
• Go to the laboratory on the day of your appointment. A sterile bottle will be supplied for you to provide the sperm. The sperm will be obtained at the laboratory.
• Enrichment is performed immediately after the sperm has been provided and takes at least 2 hours.
• The enriched sperm is placed in a container suitable for transporting.
• Wait at least 3 hours before returning to the laboratory to recover this container and take it to your doctor as quickly as possible.
